HAPPY PESACH or PASSOVER!

                                                      HAPPY PESACH or PASSOVER!

Tonight starts Passover. This miracle of deliverance for the Jews from slavery is symbolic with Christ being the sacrificial lamb for all of us, and delivering us from the bondage of sin.

Tonight, we will ask the question "Why is this night different from all other nights?"

The answer is "We were slaves to Pharaoh in Egypt, and the Eternal, our G-d, took us out from there with a strong hand and with an outstretched arm. If the Holy One had not taken our ancestors out of Egypt, then we, our children and our children's children would have remained enslaved to Pharaoh in Egypt. Even if all of us were wise, all of us understanding, all of us knowing the Torah, we would still be obligated to discuss the exodus from Egypt; and everyone who discusses the exodus from Egypt at length is praiseworthy."

This correlates to the saved believer directly, as while the Jews were saved from the slavery of the Egyptians, Christians are saved from the slavery of sin thanks to Christ's sacrifice.

As this Holy Week continues, I will post parts of the Passover Seder daily up through Good Friday and to Easter, celebrating Christ's resurrection and greatest Miracle of all.
